Born 60 years ago in Roseau, Dominica, Shermaine’s love for broadcasting was evident from a young age. She began her career in radio at age 21 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of the most respected and admired voices on the airwaves. Her passion for storytelling, commitment to accuracy, and dedication to her craft set her apart in the industry. For many years, she hosted Talking Point on the Dominica Broadcasting Radio station, which is government-owned.

According to Shermaine’s son, Kyle Anthony Brown, his mother died in a Miami hospital, and it was an unexpected death for the family and the public.
