Down Goes Roger Ailes? Fox Boss On Rupert Murdoch’s Chopping Block

Allegedly, Roger Ailes is not long for Fox News. The rumor is that he is going to be asked to step down by the Murdoch family in the wake of his sexual harassment scandal. Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (What The Flick?), John Iadarola (ThinkTank), and Michael Shure, hosts of The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

"Roger Ailes, the political and media mastermind who launched Fox News with Rupert Murdoch two decades ago, may soon lose his position atop the cable news giant amid sexual harassment accusations.

New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman, the author of a critical 2014 biography of Ailes, reported Monday that Murdoch and his sons Lachlan and James ― the top executives at parent company 21st Century Fox ― “have settled on removing” Ailes in light of an ongoing investigation into charges leveled by former “Fox & Friends” co-host Gretchen Carlson.

Citing “two sources briefed” on the allegations, Sherman reports:

After reviewing the initial findings of the probe, James Murdoch is said to be arguing that Ailes should be presented with a choice this week to resign or face being fired. Lachlan is more aligned with their father, who thinks that no action should be taken until after the GOP convention this week. Another source confirms that all three are in agreement that Ailes needs to go.”*

  1. miss honeypie killed the great wizard. Aisles’ was a dark genius who was
smart enough to offer Lee Atwater’s soul to the devil.

  2. Bullshit, he didn’t do it. Tons of girls in today’s society claim to have
been raped or sexually harassed and never have proof of it. It’s surprising
how many will claim it happened to them for sympathy. My guess is the heirs
figured they could replace him for someone cheaper or way less experienced
and wouldn’t be a threat to them. Maybe he started asking for more power,
or expressed disgust at having young bosses. If you’ve had old co-workers,
you know they hate having young bosses.

  3. The sexual harassment accusations are part of a conspiracy by Murdoch to
ouster Ailes. No proof, just feels.

  4. I agree with Cenk, but I don’t think he knows what it means to get “Bill
    Cosbied.” Half Kidding.

    • Ask Bill Cosby, or Sandusky.. You get enough people saying the same thing
under oath and a jury will probably believe it.

    • +Jefferson Davis – Indictment is a different thing; how would someone prove
that it happened 20 years ago, unless they have a tape or recording, or
haven’t cleaned their vag since then.

  5. The way Cenk described Roger, he makes him sound like Benny Hill chasing
    women around the room

  6. You mean Ailes hasn’t been also gathering dirt on Murdoch and his family to
use against them in case something like this ever happened?

  7. Of course. Nothing is worse in the eyes of Fox than acknowledging human
    sexuality.

  8. Can we start liking these videos to counter the right-wing fuckers that
come on just to dislike and comment bullshit?
